Role Overview:

  • As a key member of our MEP services sector, you will provide technical leadership, strategic advice, and build technical capabilities while setting an example in fire & life safety.
  • You will oversee selected projects (or components of projects) ensuring they meet technical requirements, budgetary targets, quality standards, safety protocols, and timeframe expectations, exceeding client expectations.
  • You will promote and assist in building Arcadis' brand in India, facilitating recruitment efforts.
  • You will actively participate in the GEC professional group and contribute to seminars and conferences externally.
  • You will establish strong networks within the building services industry.

Key Accountabilities:

  • You will proactively manage selected projects (or components), taking responsibility for design, producing deliverables (including drawings and reports), ensuring design integrity (in collaboration with other disciplines), quality assurance, and client feedback.
  • You will provide input to the GEC sector strategy/business plans as required and contribute towards their achievement.
  • You will communicate with team members to ensure they understand and engage with sector/discipline business plans.
  • You will liaise with Project Managers or Directors and clients to stay informed of project developments, changes/modifications, and associated updates.
  • You will identify opportunities and drive implementation of standardization strategies to enhance efficiencies at GEC.
  • You will provide leadership, direction, and technical advice to project team members, take a proactive role in developing them to their full potential, lead by example to achieve sector/divisional goals, and champion a culture of quality, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
  • You will be familiar with and compliant with relevant H & S and CDM regulations and promote awareness within the team.
  • You will perform other duties assigned by your manager as required from time to time.
  • You will develop teams' technical capabilities through training.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • You hold a B.E / B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.
  • You have 10 to 15 years of experience in designing fire & life safety systems, including fire strategy, detection, alarm systems, and protection.
  • You have experience in fire smoke management and analysis, including CFD.
  • You possess solid domain knowledge in international regions.
  • You have proven design experience across concept, preliminary, detailed, and construction phases.
  • You can develop, check, and review technical specifications, design basis reports, etc.
  • You have a good understanding of health, safety, and CDM aspects related to typical Rail systems projects.
  • You can independently conduct design checks and reviews.
  • You are familiar with international codes like NFPA, BS Fire, and other fire & life safety codes.
  • Experience in PHE of international projects is an added advantage.
  • You hold preferred professional accreditations like CEng.
  • You have experience working in a consultancy environment.
  • You are proficient in 3D design environments.
  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with good report writing, analytical, and computer skills.
  • You can think innovatively and entrepreneurially with a good understanding of commercial project aspects.
  • You have good motivation, influencing, people management, and delegation skills.
  • You have knowledge of code & standards and practices of the Building Services Industry.
