We seek an accomplished SAP Release Manager and Jira Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the release process for SAP applications and administering Jira to ensure seamless project tracking and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP Release Management:
    • Plan, schedule, and execute SAP application releases while coordinating release schedules to minimize disruptions to business operations.
    • Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, reviewing and approving change proposals or rejecting them as necessary, with supporting communication to all stakeholders involved.
    • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to guarantee successful deployment of SAP updates and enhancements.
    • Maintain and update release documentation, including release notes, rollback procedures, and deployment plans, and oversee the SOP for Change & Release Management in Solution Manager.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with release activities.
    • Ensure compliance with change management and release management processes, adhering to standard operating procedures governing application change control requirements according to Kenvue's Information Asset Protection Policies (IAPP).
    • Provide cross-organizational communication to stakeholders regarding change control events and activities related to releases (planned and emergency/off-cycle). Report any deviations to IT Management and/or Information Security & Risk Management counterparts within the IT organization.
    • Respond to Corporate Internal Audit and/or external Audit Partner requests for periodic confirmation of defined process controls (SOX testing) and participate in ongoing audit cycles as necessary.

Jira Administration:

  • Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and notifications to support project and issue tracking needs.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters for project tracking and performance measurement. Perform trend analysis on project data to support proactive decision-making.
  • Offer user support and training on Jira best practices and usage.
  • Integrate Jira with other tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Jira performance issues, ensuring system stability and availability.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross-functional collaboration with developers, testers, business analysts, and project managers.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on release schedules and project statuses.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and post-release evaluations to continually improve the release process.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an SAP Release Manager and Jira Administrator, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT within a large-scale, global organization, with experience implementing large projects/programs required.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP application landscapes and release management processes, proficiency in SAP Solution Manager Focused Build for release management, and SAP ABAP skills for customized integrations.
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of experience managing Supply Chain technology initiatives primarily in SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA in a global matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in functionalities: ITSM, Customization Synchronization/Scout, Business Process Change Analysis, Downgrade Protection, Cross-System Object Locking, TEA/P reports, Retrofit and CTS+.
  • Strong proficiency in Jira administration and configuration.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Skilled in EDL Impala SQL, Python, and Power BI for advanced data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and quality frameworks for secure project delivery, experience in RAID framework for effective risk and issue management.
  • Strong experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, understanding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management experience.
  • Understanding of Transport Management in SAP for defining the landscape for the entire program, experience and ability to manage multiple projects and/or programs with competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of GXP and SOX guidelines associated with Change and Release Management, experience and demonstrated understanding of I.T. Validated System Documentation and System Development Lifecycles (Agile a Plus) Requirements.
  • Global mindset with the ability to work across multiple countries and cultures, experience in large enterprise transformational projects and initiatives working in a matrixed environment.
  • An independent and open-minded individual who values and appreciates diversity, input, and collaboration from various constituents.

This role offers a salary range of $100,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, and is based in Bangalore, India.
