Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Conservation Specialist to lead our efforts in managing natural resources in the Sundarbans ecosystem. The successful candidate will design and implement sustainable strategies for resource management, balance conservation goals with local livelihoods, and promote Integrated Farming Systems tailored to the Sundarban.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of wetland management, climate change, and natural resource management frameworks. Experience in leading projects with budget management is essential, along with proficiency in data analysis, GIS mapping, and other tools for resource monitoring and management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable resource management strategies for the Sundarbans ecosystem
  • Design and implement Integrated Farming Systems tailored to the Sundarban
  • Manage project teams inclusively and professionally
  • Provide guidance on enterprise development and market linkages
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other organizations to promote sustainable resource management practices
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, or a related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in conservation, environmental management, or sustainable development projects
  • Strong knowledge of ecological principles, biodiversity conservation strategies, and environmental laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in data analysis, GIS mapping, and other tools for resource monitoring and management
Benefits

Gross Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹65,000 per month (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Provident Fund (PF): Applicable after completing the training and probationary period

Medical Insurance (Mediclaim): Eligibility begins after completing one year with the organization
