Senior Professional, Procurement and Research Development

At Organon, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement and Research Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working alongside our Director/Team Leader of R&D Procurement & Supplier Management in developing and executing a multi-year sourcing strategy that expands the capability and flexibility of working with external partners across the R&D organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage activities in support of our current (and future) outsourced scope of work, including managing processes, systems, and connections between an external partner and various stakeholders within Organon R&D.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure best possible delivery of sourced submission work through clearly defined objectives and actively managing and tracking overall performance of assigned vendors.
  • Actively collaborate with assigned vendor(s) to assure new capabilities and services are developed and existing capabilities and processes are assessed and improved on an ongoing basis.
  • Support annual business planning and the analysis and proposal of the annual financial plan related to external partner expenditures.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in pharmaceutical research and development.
  • Experience working in a drug development outsourced model, either on the outsourcer or client side, with the ability to translate learnings to clinical and medical affairs outsourcing model.
  • Basic experience with leading successful delivery of projects, pipeline, business improvement, and/or change management projects.
  • Knowledgeable of clinical operations and study management, medical affairs operations, and/or outcomes research studies for pharmaceutical products, vaccines, and/or biologic products.
  • Good negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in matrix organizational structures.
