Job Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant Manager at Avient plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic plans for the company's human resources services, policies, and programs. This position supports decision-making processes and positively impacts the organization by recruiting, retaining, developing, and rewarding top talent in a cost-efficient and compliant manner. The Assistant Human Resources Manager has project management and performance management responsibilities for their group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Human Resources, and client groups to design business processes and systems that support strategic goals.

• Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

• Provide guidance to managers on benefits, compensation, training, recruiting, workforce planning, conflict management, performance management, and other HR-related areas.

• Ensure all policies and procedures are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations and are consistently administered.

• Oversee operational human resource issues, including job description development, hiring, retention, succession planning, legal compliance, termination reviews, transfers, and communications.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Human Resources or equivalent education from a reputable institution.

• 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a multinational organization.

• Demonstrated excellent people management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
