Senior Human Resources Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Director to lead our HR functions and drive organizational development. This role is critical for fostering a goal-oriented culture, managing HR operations, and supporting digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep FMCG experience, with a preference for those from family-run organizations, and will have demonstrated expertise in creating an engaged, high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving business growth through people management.
- Drive digital transformation in HR processes, leveraging IT to streamline operations, improve employee experience, and enhance organizational agility.
- Foster a performance-driven, goal-oriented culture within the organization, promoting a positive work environment that supports innovation and teamwork.
Organizational Development (OD) and Change Management:
- Lead OD initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, agility, and adaptability, ensuring seamless transitions and minimizing disruption.
- Build and implement talent development and succession planning strategies, identifying and nurturing future leaders who can drive business success.
- Design and execute programs for skill enhancement, cultural transformation, and innovation, empowering employees to grow professionally and personally.
HR Operations Management:
- Oversee all HR operations, including appraisals, payroll management, compensation benchmarking, and recruitment, ensuring efficient and effective HR processes.
- Manage performance appraisal cycles, providing timely feedback and continuous improvement opportunities to foster a culture of excellence.
- Develop and maintain efficient payroll systems and procedures, meeting statutory requirements and timelines while minimizing administrative burdens.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Design and review compensation structures in line with industry standards, ensuring competitive rewards and benefits packages that attract and retain top talent.
- Lead compensation benchmarking studies to inform strategic decision-making and drive business outcomes.
- Oversee benefits programs to ensure competitiveness, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with organizational goals.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Manage industrial relations (IR) and address employee grievances, maintaining open communication channels and resolving issues promptly and fairly.
- Ensure statutory compliance, managing regulatory obligations in labor laws and workplace safety, and implementing best practices to minimize risk.
- Lead initiatives in POSH, diversity, inclusion, and workplace well-being, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
Talent Acquisition & Development:
- Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent, aligning recruitment efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
- Drive recruitment and training programs, optimizing for future growth and scalability while minimizing costs.
- Create succession plans for key roles, identifying and developing emerging leaders who can drive business success.
Administration & Facility Management:
- Oversee administration functions, including facility management, vendor relations, and workplace safety, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Implement efficient office operations and streamline resource allocation to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact.
IT and Digital Transformation:
- Spearhead IT-driven initiatives within HR, improving processes, enhancing employee experience, and driving business outcomes through digital tools and technologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by leveraging digital platforms and modern HR technologies, empowering employees to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
HR Analytics & Reporting:
- Utilize data to make informed HR decisions, providing regular reports on turnover, productivity, and employee engagement, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor HR metrics, aligning with organizational objectives to inform strategic decision-making and drive business outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications - Full-time MBA in HR from a top 50 NIRF-ranked institute, demonstrating expertise in human resources management and organizational development.
Work Experience Requirements - 14-18 years of relevant HR experience, ideally within an FMCG setting, showcasing leadership skills, strategic thinking, and operational expertise.
Languages - Fluency in Hindi and English (mandatory); Tamil and Malayalam (desirable), enabling effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and take ownership of projects and initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, identifying and addressing complex HR challenges and opportunities.
