EducoHire seeks an experienced and visionary Lead English Educator to drive the academic direction and success of our English tutoring program. As a key member of our educational team, you will lead a team of dedicated English tutors, ensuring high-quality instruction and support for students with varying levels and abilities.

About the Role

As the Head of Department for English, you will:

  • Collaborate with our academic leadership team to develop and refine the English curriculum, aligning it with relevant standards and assessments (IBDP, A Levels etc.).
  • Provide guidance and support to English tutors, including lesson planning, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
  • C Coordinate professional development opportunities for English tutors, including workshops, seminars, and peer observations.
  • Oversee student progress and performance in English, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress, program updates, and upcoming events.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in English or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the subject(s) you wish to teach at the IB level.
  • Minimum 08+ years of teaching experience in relevant subject areas, with experience of teaching with the International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE.
  • Previous leadership experience in an educational setting (Team lead, head etc.).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
