Job Title: Sales Account Manager

Ashland is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join our Pharma, Lifesciences function at our Mumbai location. This is a significant role within the Company and the Life Sciences function. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for:

  • Sales and business development of Ashland excipients with pharmaceutical, life science and biopharmaceutical companies.
  • Preparation and achievement of sales target (Revenue, volume and gross profit) and organizational goals for every year.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as call reports, monthly reports and annual territory analysis.
  • Value selling, key account management and interpersonal skills to improve the profitability of our business.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandizing techniques.
  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and develop new accounts for Ashland excipients.
  • Responsible for account receivables, I & C forms, handling of rejections and customer complaints.
  • Develop and grow the commercial relationships of assigned leading customers while prospecting for new accounts to increase market penetration.
  • Develop opportunity pipeline to drive new business for future commercial success.
  • Forecast sales to enable operations planning, introduce product innovations and maintain active memberships.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant B. Pharm with Management diploma or degree /M.Pharm.

Key Interactions:

  • Internal: SCM, R&D, QA & RA
  • External: Customer purchase and R&D

Technical Competencies:

  • Familiarity about Pharmaceutical product development & manufacturing operations.
  • Good communication skills (both verbal & written).
  • Self-motivated and passionate about value selling.
  • Good team player.
