About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned senior oracle dba to lead the administration, optimization, and security of our oracle database landscape. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in oracle database technologies, high availability architecture, and hands-on experience with sap-oracle integration or collaboration with sap basis teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot multiple oracle databases in production, development, and qa environments.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
  • Optimize database performance using awr, ash, oem, and advanced tuning techniques.
  • Manage high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
  • Implement and test robust backup/recovery strategies.
  • Automate administrative tasks and reporting using shell scripting, pl/sql, or python.
  • Collaborate with sap basis team to support sap systems using oracle.
  • Ensure database compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and cloud database strategy.
  • Lead database initiatives such as cloud adoption, consolidation, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical systems and assist in root cause analysis for database-related incidents.
