Job Summary
U Rivergate Karjat seeks an experienced Executive Director of Operations to lead all aspects of hotel operations. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, operational expertise, and financial acumen to drive business growth while ensuring guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

About the Role
The Executive Director of Operations will oversee hotel-wide strategies, implement brand service initiatives, and maintain a visible presence to gather feedback from customers. Key responsibilities include analyzing service issues, identifying trends, and developing creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial leadership to motivate executive committee members and ensure successful daily operations.

Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement hotel-wide strategies in collaboration with the executive committee.
2. Ensure the implementation of the brand service strategy and initiatives to meet or exceed guest expectations.
3. Maintain a visible presence and regularly interface with customers to gather feedback on product quality, service levels, and overall satisfaction.
4. Analyze service issues, identify trends, and facilitate the development of creative solutions to overcome obstacles, ensuring implementation to continually improve guest satisfaction.
5. Hire executive committee members who demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial leadership to meet operational needs.
6. Create individual development plans for executive committee members based on their strengths, development needs, career aspirations, and abilities, and ensure the same is done for all managers on the property.
7. Set goals and expectations for executive committee members, providing specific feedback to coach and improve performance.
8. Ensure that service, technical skills, and leadership training occur throughout the property to support successful daily operations.
9. Facilitate ongoing communication throughout the property to recognize performance, set expectations, and raise awareness of business objectives.
10. Administer hotel policies fairly and consistently.
11. Review sales goals and strategies to ensure alignment with the brand business strategy and proper pricing and positioning of the property in the market.
12. Ensure the sales team understands and fully leverages demand engines. Suggest innovative marketing ideas and proactively develop strategies to grow market share.
13. Build relationships with key customers through personal involvement in the sales process.
14. Review financial reports and statements to assess the business unit's performance against the budget and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
15. Coach and support the team in effectively managing occupancy rates, wages, and controllable expenses while striving to maintain profit margins without compromising guest or employee satisfaction.
16. Identify opportunities to increase profits and create value by challenging existing processes, encouraging innovation, and driving necessary change.
17. Ensure capital expenditure funds are allocated according to the priorities outlined in the business strategy.
18. Establish a relationship with the owner as a business partnership and build owner loyalty through proactive communication and involvement in key decisions.
19. Understand the owner's perspective and ensure the management company and brand satisfies the owners needs and value for money.
20. Ensure the owner's alignment with brand strategy and maintain brand standards.
21. Maintain knowledge of all management contract requirements for the property and ensure compliance with contract and reporting requirements.
22. Be fully involved in the budgeting process and collaboratively prepare the Annual Operating Plan for final approval.
23. Ensure that the month-end management information system (MIS) reports, including the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, are accurately prepared and submitted by the 5th of the following month. Present findings to the owners and relevant stakeholders within 24 hours of the meeting.
24. While overseeing hotel operations, assume responsibility for departmental duties in the absence of the Head of Department (HOD), during replacement periods or leaves.
25. Develop Management Action Plans following each audit and ensure that any variances are addressed appropriately within specified timeframes.
26. Create related Operational and Accounting Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOPs) for all ongoing promotions and packages throughout the calendar year.
27. Respond to all guest feedback on review platforms within 24 hours and take appropriate actions to address relevant issues while adhering to hotel policies, rules, and regulations to ensure smooth operations at all times.
28. Obtain approval from your immediate supervisor for any new policies.
29. Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Salary Information
We offer an attractive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
