Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HIL Validation Engineer to join our team at Cyient. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and executing system test cases for E-Drive and conventional powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute system test cases for E-Drive and conventional powertrain systems.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of control systems, controller algorithms, and physical interactions at the system and hardware level.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and provide system interaction use cases with E-Drive/conventional systems.
  • Analyze vehicle drive scenarios and predict performance on key control systems like Battery, Inverter, Motor, and other influential factors on thermal and comfort functions.
  • Communicate and interact with system/component responsible teams in Germany/India for test design and execution.
  • Flash software updates, create test and measurement environments, execute and debug test cases in Dspace HIL environment.
  • Automate testing scenarios with automation tools.
  • Analyze test defects and prepare validation reports.

Requirements:

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical with Graduation/Post Graduation background focus on Control Systems.
  • Ability to understand system specifications and derive test cases independently.
  • Experience in executing system-level testing in Hardware-in-Loop or Vehicle with conventional/HEV/E-Drive driving scenarios.
  • Good background knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, and Targetlink.
  • Understanding of automotive standard protocols like CAN, LIN, XCP, UDS is recommended.
  • Familiarity with fault handling and diagnostics within the E-Drive/Conventional vehicle system is needed.
  • Strong scripting skills for test automation in VB/Provetech/Python on HiL Systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis skills.
  • Preparation and presentation of detailed analysis and bug reports.
