Aptos is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Specialist to join our team of passionate professionals. As a key contributor to our software development lifecycle, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our solutions.



About the Role:



As a Senior QA Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define test scenarios.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define test scenarios
  • Create detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases to cover all aspects of software functionality, performance, and reliability
  • Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects, regressions, and performance issues
  • Document defects found during testing, including steps to reproduce and expected vs. actual results
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues on time
  • Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable frequent and reliable software releases
  • Maintain and enhance the test automation framework to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and test automation
  • Provide technical assistance and mentorship to QA team members on test automation tools, frameworks, and processes
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies as part of a cross-functional development team


Required Qualifications & Skills:




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation
  • Prior experience in automation framework design and development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, WebDriverIO, Appium, API Automation tools etc.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, and REST Assured
  • Proficiency in Web, Mobile and API Automation
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Circle CI), and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment
