Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our microservice-based solutions' infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud computing, containerization, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure for microservice-based solutions using a wide range of AWS services, including AWS Fargate, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, SNS, SQS, ECS, Docker, Amazon Cognito, RDS, S3, EC2, Route53, CloudFront, Lambda, VPC, EFS, API Gateway, AWS Certificate Manager, CloudWatch, Load Balancer, and Terraform.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and CodePipeline to automate application deployment, testing, and monitoring.

- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement best practices for building, packaging, and deploying microservices using Docker and container orchestration platforms like Amazon ECS.

- Configure and manage event-driven architectures using AWS SNS and SQS for efficient communication and processing between microservices.

- Ensure the infrastructure and applications' security, availability, and performance by implementing appropriate monitoring, alerting, and scaling mechanisms using tools like CloudWatch.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in production and non-production environments.

- Continuously evaluate and improve existing DevOps processes, tools, and technologies.

- Optimize the usage of AWS services to reduce costs without compromising performance and scalability.

- Review and analyze the allocation of resources to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop strategies for cost optimization and provide recommendations based on usage patterns and business requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer working on microservice-based solutions.

- Strong proficiency with AWS services, including AWS Fargate, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, SNS, SQS, ECS, Docker, Amazon Cognito, RDS, S3, EC2, Route53, CloudFront, Lambda, VPC, EFS, API Gateway, AWS Certificate Manager, CloudWatch, Load Balancer, and Terraform.

- In-depth understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Amazon ECS.

- Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.

- Solid scripting and automation skills with programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) concepts and tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.

- Knowledge of monitoring and log management tools like CloudWatch.

- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
