Job Title: Senior Executive - Accounting & Finance

Location: Ahmedabad

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reports To: H.O.D Accounts & Finance

Salary: Based on industry standards and interview performance

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Management:
  2. Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  3. Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards (IND AS) and regulatory requirements.
  4. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  5. Manage the accounts payable process including invoice verification, approval, and timely payments.
  6. Oversee the accounts receivable process including invoicing, collections, and managing overdue accounts.
  7. Tax Compliance:
  8. Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws including GST, TDS, and other relevant tax regulations.
  9. Prepare and file tax returns including GST returns and TDS filings, and manage tax audits.
  10. Financial Planning & Analysis:
  11. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for cost control and financial performance.
  12. Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures to enhance profitability.
  13. Transaction Monitoring & Control:
  14. Implement controls to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial transactions. Monitor transactions to detect and address discrepancies.
  15. Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions ensuring that all records are complete and up-to-date.
  16. Documentation & Record-Keeping:
  17. Ensure all financial documentation is accurate, complete, and filed appropriately. Maintain a systematic filing system for all accounting records.
  18. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on financial performance, transaction details, and compliance.
  19. Compliance & Audits:
  20. Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit procedures. Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
  21. Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  22. Process Improvement:
  23. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  24. Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Professional qualifications such as Inter CA or ICWA/CMA (Cost Management Accountant) are preferred.

Experience: 5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong understanding of Indian accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

Strong knowledge of Indian tax regulations and accounting standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
