At Adobe, we're passionate about empowering educators and institutions to create engaging digital experiences. We're seeking an experienced Education Business Development Manager to join our team in North and drive growth through strategic partnerships and sales.

About the Role

This is a senior sales role that requires a deep understanding of the Education sector and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that meet or exceed targets. You will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining top-line understanding of Education market trends, projects, and competition, as well as building and converting pipeline, and growing business through meticulous business management execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement sales strategy for Education Institutions & Ministry accounts in a defined Territory / Geography
  • Prospect, develop, and acquire new accounts
  • Champion and expand in existing accounts
  • Build, maintain, and convert pipeline
  • Grow business through meticulous business management execution
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with top-decision-makers at C-levels and functional levels
  • Coordinate multi-functional team to sign multi-year enterprise agreements / strategic agreements
  • Meet core lead indicators around pipeline coverage progression, forecast, meetings, and general activity
  • Develop and use Partner ecosystem relationships to accelerate growth
  • Meet or exceed quota

Requirements

  • 12+ years field technology sales experience in the Education Ministry & Education Institutions sector (Preferably in Higher Education & Skill Development Departments / K12 academic Institutional sales)
  • Degree or Postgraduate in Sales/Marketing/Business/Computer Science or similar
  • High yielding mentality and consistency in over achievement
  • Consistent track record engaging in value-based customer centric conversations, and leading a defined enterprise sales process
  • Consistent record of Adobe / subscription based technology sales in Education Ministry, Education Institutions (Private & Public)
  • Must have consistent track record of prospecting/cold-calling, account building, maintenance, and closing large sales opportunities
  • Must have confidence developing relationships and experience with Senior executives, Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Education / Skill Development Secretary, Commissioners, management of Education Institutions & Education Ministry
  • Must have consistent track record of positive relationships, joint customer engagements, business success with Education Specialised Partners in India & South Asia
  • Exhibit ability to effectively lead sophisticated sales tasks, projects, and completing priorities
  • Excellent in business assessment, forecasting, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills are required
  • Excellence in business ethics and integrity
  • Great teaming and comfortable working with a geographically distributed team
