Overview of the Financial Director Role

The primary objective is to lead end-to-end finance operations, overseeing the entire financial ecosystem and ensuring seamless integration with global leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop a comprehensive budget and forecast strategy, aligning with company objectives.
  • Local Finance Ops: Manage accounting, audits, controls, and compliance, maintaining transparency and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to global leadership, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Team Building: Lead and grow the local finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with sales, operations, and HR teams to drive pricing, margin control, and strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring internal controls and tax/regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in finance/accounting roles, preferably in BPO or offshoring environments.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of building and managing high-performing finance teams.
  • FP&A and operational finance expertise, with a focus on driving business growth and profitability.
  • Experience managing local finance teams in APAC, with a deep understanding of regional markets and regulations.
  • CA, CPA, or MBA in Finance, with a strong academic background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multinational operations and cross-border reporting, with a focus on simplifying complex financial processes.
  • Prior Big Four background, with expertise in audit, tax, and advisory services.
  • Exposure to M&A, transfer pricing, or fundraising activities, with a focus on driving business growth and expansion.
