Overview

Ciklum is a custom product engineering company that supports multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their complex business challenges. We are looking for a talented Java Developer to join our team in India.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. As a Java Developer, you will work on a modern solution for our existing client using proven technologies and concepts such as Event-Driven architecture, Behaviour-Driven Development, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality back-end components to meet customer needs, implementing best practices in software development environments
  • Participate in decision-making processes for application code design, solution development, and code review
  • Design and implement various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, etc.)
  • Work proactively to improve solution development processes
  • Collaborate with international distributed teams in Agile environments
  • Communicate effectively with PMs, engineers, Architects, QA, and other stakeholders
  • Deliver product roadmaps and plans
  • Maintain high coding standards, software best practices, and write highly testable, automatable, and performant code throughout the SDLC

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science, Computing Theory: Paradigms & Principles (OOP, SOLID), Database theory (RDBMS), Code testing practices, Algorithms, Data structures, Design Patterns
  • Understanding of network interactions: protocols, conventions (REST, RPC), authentication and authorization flows, standards and practices (OAuth, JWT)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Java
  • Practical commercial experience with REST API development, Web application frameworks (Spring Boot Framework), Testing frameworks (JUnit, PowerMock, WireMock, Serenity BDD), ORM (Hibernate), RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle), NoSQL (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra), Web Servers, Version control systems (GIT), Cloud solutions (AWS), Docker, Continuous Integration tools (Gitlab Pipeline, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo), Builders
  • Experience with Agile software processes and technologies, Code Review process, Refactoring process
  • Upper-Intermediate English

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of TDD, BDD, Architectural, Enterprise Patterns, Security patterns, Common attacks types (OWASP), Deployment patterns
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management solutions
  • Experience with Troubleshooting, profiling and debugging applications, Microservices
  • Practical commercial experience with Messaging systems (Apache Kafka, Active MQ, AWS SQS), Integration with 3rd party solutions, Serverless architecture, Search Engines (ElasticSearch, Apache Solr), Quality tools (SonarQube)

Rupees 8 lakhs per annum, negotiable based on experience
