Our key activities include EHS Policy and Standards Implementation, Audits and Inspections, Regulatory Compliance, EHS Program Coordination, Incident Investigation, Safety Audits and Risk Assessments, Training and Awareness, EHS Culture and Improvement Initiatives, Work Permit System and Waste Management, and EHS Reporting and Documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- EHS Policy and Standards Implementation: Assist in developing and updating EHS management systems to meet Avery Dennison standards and relevant certifications.
- Audits and Inspections: Ensure zero non-compliance during customer audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain necessary documentation and records to support compliance efforts.
- EHS Program Coordination: Collaborate with site/unit Managers to implement EHS programs on Injury prevention, Fire Safety, Behaviour safety, etc.
- Incident Investigation: Participate in accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Safety Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for current operations, recommending and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness: Deliver EHS training to employees, enhancing their awareness and understanding of EHS practices.
- EHS Culture and Improvement Initiatives: Promote a positive EHS culture by supporting various performance improvement initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Work Permit System and Waste Management: Implement the EHS work permit system and ensure compliance.
- EHS Reporting and Documentation: Manage EHS-related MIS and KPIs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation as per internal EHS systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a Master's or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety/Environmental Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001/ISO 45001 systems.
- Candidate should have working experience in Plant/Manufacturing Unit.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in EHS management systems and software.
