Job Overview:

A security professional is needed to monitor and respond to security threats within an organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in SOC 1 and SOC 2 standards
  • Leading a team of associates
  • Obtaining relevant certifications (ISO LA, CISA, CISSP)
  • Managing projects from start to completion
  • Understanding and articulating Schellman's service lines at a high level
  • Proficiency in SOC 1 GITCs and each Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy SOC 2 criteria
  • Self-organization and proactive planning for future projects
  • Maintaining expertise in Schellman Methodology
  • Reviewing and applying concepts of AS 2.0 Reference Guide
  • Reviewing and applying concepts of EWP WP Guidance
  • Obtaining CCSK certification and pursuing second certification
  • Articulating differences between SOC 1 and SOC 2
  • Participating on projects as a shadow or assessor for attestation offerings
  • Understanding SOC 1 GITCs and each SOC 2 criteria for the Security, Availability, and Confidentiality categories
  • Ability to articulate qualified vs unqualified opinion
  • Learning Schellman's services and service line leaders
  • Completing Associate Score Card and accurately managing time worked

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Schellman's services and methodology
  • Requisite knowledge of applicable technology and security domains
  • High attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Client service-oriented and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Travel requirements (~40-50%) and maintenance of relevant certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, technology, or other relevant subject area
  • 2+ years of experience in information security auditing, assessment, consulting or compliance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
