Key Account Manager Role

As a Key Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development and performance of sales strategies in assigned markets. This includes driving primary sales, secondary sales, and ensuring brand presence in defined markets.

You will supervise and manage the distributor network to achieve desired sales objectives, ensuring financial and ethical objectives of the division are met as per the business strategy.

This position involves developing a customer management plan, approving product expiry, issuing credit notes to distributors, recommending distributor appointments and credit limits, and participating in strategy execution review meetings to ensure alignment.

Your role is crucial to the division's success.

Key Responsibilities


Business Planning:

  • Plan for monthly and quarterly business.
  • Plan demand generation and fulfillment.
  • Monitor actual sales and make mid-course corrections.
  • Prescribe audits for Abbott brands and competitors.


Business Generation and Development:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets by promoting Abbott products ethically to customers.
  • Have science-based discussions with doctors and chemists for product promotion in clinics and pharmacies.
  • Organize camps (CMEs) according to division strategy and customer needs.
  • Ensure successful new product launches in the territory.


Customer Management:

  • Execute the customer management plan to cover all customers as per the plan and meet minimum KPIs.
