Senior Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) developer to join our dynamic team at Algoscale.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience working with the MERN stack, a strong understanding of web development concepts, and the ability to deliver robust and scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js).
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to create and improve web applications.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack (client-side, server-side, database).
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions to improve code quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in web development, particularly in the JavaScript ecosystem.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Manage cloud deployments and ensure proper application scaling and performance monitoring.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with the MERN stack.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Strong understanding of React.js, including component lifecycle, state management (using Redux or Context API), and Hooks.
  • Experience with Node.js and Express.js in building RESTful APIs and back-end services.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, aggregation, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deployment and server management.
  • Understanding of front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, NPM, Yarn).
  • Ability to write unit tests and perform integration testing (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai).
