Data Engineer - Cloud Data Solutions Expert

About the Job

As a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in delivering multi-cloud management and cloud-native application development solutions, you will be working closely with our team of skilled engineers to drive clients' data modernization journey. Your expertise will enable clients to make informed decisions, improve efficiency, and enhance their overall business performance.

Principal Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with clients to design, develop, deploy, and support end-to-end data strategies, including infrastructure, collection, transmission, processing, and analytics.
  2. Mentor client teams on the latest approaches, tools, and skills to ensure continued success post-delivery.
  3. Provide thought leadership on process and technical matters, leveraging your extensive experience in cloud-first strategies for core bet-the-company data initiatives.
  4. Become a trusted advisor to clients on all facets of Data Engineering, driving innovation and excellence in their data-driven decision-making processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must-haves: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification, experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs, and strong knowledge of SQL Servers, data engineering, and platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse.
  • Demonstrated expertise: Strong knowledge and experience with Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture, securing Azure environment (RBAC, Key Vault, Azure Security Center), Kafka and Spark, and scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates.
  • Desirable skills: Scala, Python, Linux administration, networking, Agile development methodology, sound business judgment, and demonstrated leadership.
