VBCS Application Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled VBCS Application Developer to join our team at Vertiv. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PaaS extension/application development using VBCS, with experience in Web app development and JET framework a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and deploy VBCS applications and extensions.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  3. Perform hands-on technical design, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks as required.
  4. Ensure solutions meet overall business requirements and identify technical gaps.
  5. Configure working prototypes in a development sandbox and validate/refine prototypes.
  6. Coordinate with onshore/offshore teams to align personal task assignments and own work.
  7. Maintain a record of work, risks & issues and report to Management as needed.
  8. Mentor and drive issues to resolution.
  9. Document design, code consistently throughout the design/development process.
  10. Diagnose, resolve and document system issues to support project team in coordination.
  11. Research questions with respect to both maintenance and development tasks.
  12. Prepare and deliver demonstrations/presentations to client audiences, professional seniors/peers and partners.
  13. Adhere to standard methodologies constantly around code/data source control, ticket tracking, etc. during an assignment.
  14. Conduct meetings with business users and IT personnel, and publish status and progress reports.
  15. Troubleshoot issues in the VBCS project environment and in related integrations.

Requirements

  1. At least 3 years overall development experience including VBCS.
  2. Web app development experience, JET framework is an added bonus.
  3. At least 2 years for PaaS extension/application development experience using VBCS and willing to learn JCS.
  4. Experience in GIT or VBS integration with VBCS.
  5. Good troubleshooting skills and a Problem Solver.
  6. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of people and the eagerness to adapt to new projects quickly with a can-do and inclusive nature.
  7. Aggression to get the things done accurately which allows you to adapt and evolve within the organization.
