Job Description:

Role Overview

The role will involve developing applications on the IBM iSeries platform using RPGLE, CLLE programming languages, and ILE. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in application design, development, testing, and integration with various technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop high-quality applications on the IBM iSeries platform.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
  3. Develop and implement robust testing strategies to ensure defect-free applications.
  4. Provide support for existing applications and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  1. University graduate with a degree in IT or related discipline with minimum 10+ years' hands-on experience in IBM iSeries system development.
  2. Expertise in IBM iSeries RPGLE, CLLE programming, and ILE (Integrated Language Environment).
  3. Proficiency in DB2 for iSeries (SQL optimization, stored procedures, data modeling), and strong understanding of iSeries operating systems (OS/400) and system tools.
  4. Solid experience with iSeries system integration technologies (e.g. API, MQ, XML, FTP)
  5. Good understanding in Agile software development methodology and DevSecOps technologies such as CI/CD and set of tools like Jenkins, Ansible, G3 etc.
  6. Candidate should be hands-on on technology and self-driven basis the direction from global teams.
  7. Effective English writing and communication skills.
  8. Desired but not required: Custody domain knowledge and familiarity with Java/Python for hybrid application development.
