We offer an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $180,000 based on your experience and qualifications in the United States.

Job Description

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Develop control logics in Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems based on SAMA sheets and control narratives.
  • Design and develop graphics in DCS/PLC Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems based on Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and graphic specifications.
  • Prepare control test cases and instructions, and perform logic and graphics testing.
  • Review functional requirements, generate system design specifications, prepare technical reports, and create requirement traceability matrices.
  • Capture functional requirements from design documents.
  • Perform system engineering and cabinet engineering tasks.
  • Create macros, control logic sheets, and HMI screens based on functional requirements.
  • Develop test procedures for logic and graphics testing.
  • Perform engineering, commissioning, testing, and evaluation (CTE), and functional testing for macros, logic, and HMI screens.
  • Create test reports to demonstrate compliance with functional requirements.
  • Study and modify P&IDs, I/O lists, alarm lists, electrical load lists, control narratives, functional logic diagrams, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
  • Develop electrical and control panel schematics and layouts.
  • Have knowledge of tools like Smart Plant Foundation, INTOOLS, COMOS, Aveva, etc., which will be considered an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of HAZOP classification is also an added advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 8-14 years of experience in instrumentation control.
  • Familiarity with DCS/PLC systems, including development and programming.
  • Excellent understanding of HMI graphics design and development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
