Job Summary

A datacenter network engineer is needed to work on complex networks, using expertise in Cisco Nexus technologies.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking protocols and enterprise-class environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage advanced datacenter networking solutions built on Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS, Nexus 5K/7K).
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced Cisco datacenter technologies.
  • Ensure continuous availability, security, and performance of datacenter network infrastructure.
  • Perform capacity planning, proactive monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Leverage automation and scripting to streamline operations and enhance operational consistency.
  • Actively contribute to incident management, root cause analysis, and change control processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS, Nexus 5K/7K).
  • In-depth knowledge of vPC, OTV, and FabricPath technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking protocols and enterprise-class environments.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting or equivalent programming for automation and network optimization.
  • CCIE Datacenter/Enterprise certification (preferred) or equivalent extensive real-world experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with network automation/orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of network virtualization and emerging datacenter technologies.
  • Experience in client-facing or managed services roles supporting mission-critical environments.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively across global, distributed teams.
