Job Description:
  • We are looking for a Senior Java Application/Production Support specialist with 5-8 years of experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in programming languages such as Java, debugging API calls, writing quality-of-life snippets for clients, creating scripts for debug tooling, basic knowledge of UI and API integration, basic knowledge of SQL, and be able to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Investigating and driving support resolution with senior external clients, internal stakeholders, and Marquee engineering teams.
  2. Automating manual processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  3. Participating in on-call rotations and responding to incidents as needed.
  4. Continuously improving processes and systems to increase reliability and reduce risk.
  5. Influencing and suggesting improvements on the roadmap for enhancing Marquee client experience.
  6. Creating documentation/runbooks and code snippets to share with clients and internal engineering teams.
  7. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members to ensure successful resolution of issues.
  8. Developing and maturing the SRE strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of our platforms.

Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.

Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in programming languages - Java, debugging API calls, writing quality-of-life snippets for clients, creating scripts for debug tooling, basic knowledge of UI and API integration, basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with working in UNIX environment, hands-on experience in scripting languages Shell script or Perl, basic knowledge of RDBMS environments such as Sybase ASE/IQ, Oracle or DB2 etc.
