The role of Academic Dean for Product Design is pivotal at a leading educational institution. A highly experienced leader will oversee the academic department, developing and implementing programs that align with the school's mission.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement academic programs in Product design (industrial design) to meet industry standards and stay relevant.
- Supervise faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Oversee student recruitment efforts.
- Plan department resources effectively.
- Bring industry experts for academes engagements like teaching, master classes, conferences/symposiums, and design festivals.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in industrial design.
- Total 15+ years of experience with 5+ years in an academic leadership role.
- Strong understanding of current trends in industrial design.
- Excellent communication skills with engagement abilities.
