Piping Layout Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Layout Engineer to join our team in Chennai. As a Piping Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform engineering tasks within a discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
  • Performs engineering tasks, within a discipline, having some degree of complexity.
  • Participates in the operation of a small size design group in a discipline.
  • Directly performs the work includes the preparation of layouts, study drawings, nozzle orientations detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings.
  • Monitors and checks work for compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, reliable/safe plant operation and construction economy.
  • Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort.
  • Coordinates to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
  • Reviews or defines engineering scope changes, as required, for project management.
  • Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree in a job-related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a professional license in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline from a recognized licensing board.
  • Minimum 4 Years of experience as Piping Layout Engineer.
  • Experience of working on OG&C, Semiconductor, Data Center or Power projects will be an additional advantage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of BIM, Plant 3D and REVIT 3D applications will be an added advantage.
  • Competency: Communication, Development, Engagement, ES&H, Self-Discipline, Teamwork, Values & Covenants.
