Global Sales Development Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Global Sales Development Manager to join our team at Cognex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand our customer base, and strengthen our market position.
- Manage and motivate a high-performing team of Sales Development Engineers and Sales Development Managers/Team Leaders, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams to optimize opportunity volume and quality, delivering a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Work closely with Sales Leadership to develop and implement effective headcount planning, recruiting, and training programs to ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to achieve its goals.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive higher lead conversion rates, break into key markets, and accelerate ramp time for new SDE hires.
- Sponsor the mentorship and development of SDE staff, preparing team members for career progression and expanded leadership opportunities.
- Liaise with Sales Operations and Enablement to generate data-driven insights and determine training curriculum priorities to minimize onboarding and ramp time.
- Ensure efficient and effective qualification of inbound demand and develop outbound strategies per region, leveraging digital and field marketing resources for targeted campaigns.
- Plan, forecast, and understand ramp-adjusted capacity to ensure the team operates effectively in tandem with the needs of our sales organization and the supply of inbound and outbound demand.
- Partner with regional managers to develop campaigns that align with their regional goals based on a territory plan.
- Collaborate with IT and Sales Operations to ensure the SDE team has the best tools to do their job and that they are configured to ensure SDE efficiency and productivity.
- Manage SDE reports and dashboards to ensure the results they deliver can be easily understood by stakeholders throughout the organization and provide valuable insights.
