The Solution Architect, D&T, Support & Testing role requires expertise in designing, building, testing, and deploying effective testing solutions. To excel in this position, the L1 Support & Testing consultant applies relevant technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the Testing & Support organization. This level role provides exposure to fundamental software automation testing principles and concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a basic understanding of SAP Manual Testing, Functional, and Regression Test Automation.
- Collaborate with the design and development team to identify and capture test cases, ensuring version management.
- Work on product design to guarantee adherence to test coverage for meeting end-user requirements.
- Test all aspects of the product/system, including function/component, system, performance, Regression, and service.
- Set up test environments, design test plans, develop test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and execute these cases.
- Apply automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks with the Test Manager.
- Learn and implement automation test frameworks.
- Record test results, report, and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.
- Coordinate with program and development management teams in the product development lifecycle to confirm end-user product and quality requirements along with development schedules.
- Analyze performance test requirements and develop test plans.
- Handle performance testing and present results for validation and analysis to Project Teams.
- Address technical issues to resolve and follow up.
- Train and mentor associates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Engineering degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Possess exposure to or education in the following:
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and the business approach for the product.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment and provide weekend coverage, if needed.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage customer expectations regarding estimated response times for issue resolution.
- Resolve issues through Phone, chat, and email communication channels.
- Meet SLAs like response and resolution times with the help of Functional & Technical teams.
- Collaborate with Functional & Technical Support team members to properly manage customer inquiries and escalate when appropriate.
- Own customer technical issues from initial report to resolution, communicating with customers regularly regarding issue status.
- Run monitoring reports for usage, performance, and/or availability.
- Document solutions for knowledge-base and bring new ideas for innovation and automation excellence into the Support team.
- Understanding of Microfocus ALM Software (Microfocus Quality Center) Testing Tools.
- Experience in software development life cycle and software development methodologies like Agile, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Analytical skills.
Competencies/Authorities:
- SAP Testing, SAP Test Automation & Validation with a minimum of 4+ years.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira is mandatory.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to work in the shift 12:00pm to 9:00pm.
- 10% travel, including global travel.
- Occasional on-call work required.
