Application Management Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a busy Tier 2 support team, resolving incidents and problems in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Act as a functional consultant for the internal implementation of applications under SAP, Workday, and other platforms.
  • Provide Tier 2 project resources for implementation projects.
  • Provide Tier 2 support, reporting, prioritizing, analyzing, and resolving incidents to resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all documented procedures.
  • Evaluate and escalate faults, bugs, and changes to development or management teams.
  • Understand the importance of SLAs for customer communities.
  • Act as the dedicated point of contact for Application Software troubleshooting.
  • Ensure ongoing system performance and stability.
  • Monitor allocated procedures, review, and update as necessary. Identify and produce new procedures as required.
  • Identify resolutions for issues in the first instance.
  • Evaluate and escalate issues to development or third-party vendors, as required.
  • Manage user licenses, etc.
  • Be able to work flexible working hours, including shift working and weekends, as and when required.
  • Participate in other business activities as required.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • An IT graduate or any graduate with a work experience of 4 plus years working on an IT support team.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing/customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to think logically.
  • An adaptable attitude, wanting to provide a good service.
  • Stress tolerance and self-motivation.
  • Microsoft Systems - Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a must to have. Access and Visio could be a good to have.
  • Work knowledge on SAP Systems - Concur, CATS or work knowledge on Workday Application Modules - Financial Management, Spend Management, and Time Tracking Management.
  • Knowledge in testing of applications, especially unit testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Relevant technical knowledge of finance systems.
  • Previous experience in a customer services role.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
  • Analytical bend of mind to understand and resolve incidents.
