Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Institutional Liabilities Portfolio Manager to join our team at DBS Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the liabilities portfolio through new client acquisition, portfolio deepening, and cross-selling across GTS, FX, and CBG products in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve defined annual top-line and bottom-line targets in the region for LBR channel by building a portfolio of clients for liabilities and assets through acquisition of transacting accounts, term deposits, and other transaction banking products.
- Manage and retain relationships of acquired clients to deepen and improve DBS wallet share. Implement other products and services quickly to realize revenues while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Support the commercialization of various product rollouts catering to the needs of identified industry segments.
- Direct and motivate the team regarding client planning, strategy, marketing, and origination initiatives for designated clients.
- Responsible for hiring, growth, and retention of LBRs.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years' banking experience with at least 6 years at management level in managing profitable businesses in Retail Liabilities/Business Banking.
- Domain expertise in managing profitability, overseeing customer acquisition and quality of customers, enhancing wallet size, cross-selling of other products, and increasing penetration/share of DBS in chosen customer segments.
- Ability to lead large matrix teams of senior professionals to execute a strategy aligned with the region, with strong digital elements, and India experience.
- Proven experience of using digital platforms and alliances to acquire and service customers.
- Managed exponential growth in business while maintaining quality of portfolio, customers, employees, and profit margins.
Education
- Degree from a recognized university, preferably majoring in marketing, finance, or economics.
