Job Title: Art Director

Job Summary:

Zynga is seeking a highly skilled Art Director to lead the visual direction and art development process for our mobile arcade/casual games. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with developers to deliver world-class games that will be played and loved by millions of players around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain game art assets
  • Support the evolution and maintenance of art pipeline workflow
  • Assist in researching and communicating best practices in art
  • Help identify inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement within the creative process
  • Ensure accuracy of art scope, schedule, and budget
  • Develop creative estimates and ensure high-quality execution of all deliverables
  • Foster inter-department communications as they relate to art
  • Assist with formal and informal critique, and provide effective feedback

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in the entertainment and/or game markets
  • Exceptional standard for quality, and ability to lead art team to an extremely high level of achievement
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Graphic Arts, or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience and advanced leadership including communication and project management skills
  • Expertise in arts/design, and ability to direct, mentor and enhance the efforts of a creative team
  • Minimum of two shipped titles as Associate Art Director/Art Director
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Excellent grammatical skills and ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and multi-task effectively under pressure, while balancing speed and quality of the work
  • Expert understanding of art direction and storytelling
