AUM Capital Market Private Limited seeks a seasoned Chief Institutional Equity Strategist to spearhead our equity sales team in Mumbai. About the Role:
This senior leadership position involves developing and sustaining strong relationships with key institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and proprietary trading firms. The ideal candidate will understand clients' investment strategies, needs, and objectives to provide tailored equity solutions, serving as the primary point of contact for top-tier clients and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Sales Strategy and Business Development:
The successful candidate will develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets, identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the institutional equity space, lead negotiations and deal structuring to secure new mandates, and expand existing relationships.

Market Intelligence and Insights:
This role requires staying abreast of market trends, equity research, regulatory changes, and economic developments affecting institutional investors. The strategist will provide clients with timely and insightful market analysis, investment ideas, and strategic recommendations, collaborating with the research team to ensure clients receive high-quality, actionable insights.

Team Leadership and Development:
As a leader, mentor, and developer of a high-performing equity sales team, this individual will foster a collaborative and results-driven environment. They will set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching and support, encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team, and promote a culture of excellence.

Collaboration and Coordination:
This role demands seamless collaboration with trading, research, compliance, and product development teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients, ensuring efficient execution of client transactions and addressing any issues promptly and effectively. The strategist will also coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns and promotional activities.

Reporting and Performance Management:
The Chief Institutional Equity Strategist will prepare and present detailed sales performance reports, market updates, and strategic plans to senior management, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve business objectives. They will utilize CRM systems and other tools to track sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline management.

Qualifications and Skills:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, with an MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications being highly desirable. A minimum of 12 years of experience in institutional equity sales within the financial services industry is essential, along with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a senior sales role. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive network of institutional clients and deep understanding of their investment processes and needs. In-depth knowledge of equity products, trading platforms, and market structures is mandatory, as well as proficiency in using CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required, along with strategic thinking and strong leadership abilities.
