Job Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the Airport Operations Specialist position.
  • The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in any field with relevant travel experience and hold an International Air Transport Association (IATA) Certification or Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
  • A strong knowledge of the Airline Industry is essential, as well as previous work experience in airport systems and applications for crew, ground, departure control, turnaround, baggage, and loading.
  • Working knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and supported DCS systems for reservations, passenger check-ins & boarding, baggage check-in, load management are required.
  • The successful candidate will also have supported crew systems for scheduling, tracking, and ensuring efficient utilization of crew resources, as well as supported baggage systems like monitoring and operating automated baggage handling systems.
  • Knowledge of printing flight load sheets, baggage reports, Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), creating incidents/problems using incident management & problem management tools, and achieving stringent Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Available to work in 24 x 7 shifts
  • Good communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and other standard desktop applications
  • Strong analytical & research skills and good troubleshooting and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure seamless airport operations through effective management of crew, baggage, and ground staff. Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records and reports. Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the team.
