About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Modularization and Fabrication Technical Advisor to join our team at ExxonMobil Corporation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement modularization strategies for projects, interfacing with SMEs, plot plan development, logistics, installation, cost, and schedule.
  2. Gather and leverage existing tools to support modularization studies and project support, modifying them as needed.
  3. Provide knowledge center support for modularized project-related metrics, contracting strategy, implications, constructability support, and cost implications.
  4. Support FEED and EPC contractors in the development, review, and guidance of associated deliverables for modularized projects.
  5. Collect fabrication yard data, work activity, and maintain an internal database.
  6. Identify new potential fabrication yards, conduct yard visits to assess capabilities, processes, past experiences, and prequalify suitable projects.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with fabricator senior management.
  8. Update and maintain modularization and fabrication SharePoint sites and analytical tools.
  9. Explore opportunities for industry collaboration with CII, S&P Global, Clarkson's, WoodMac, and other organizations.
  10. Identify opportunities to connect with ExxonMobil IT, Bengaluru Technology Center, and market analysis groups for data management, screening tool development, and digital innovations.
  11. Develop modular and fabrication content for practitioners and provide training sessions for early to mid-career staff.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Technology Engineering, or Construction Management degree from a recognized university or a related technical field.
  2. Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar field.
  3. Minimum 15 years of project management and execution experience.
  4. Minimum 10 years of construction/fabrication experience in site-based roles.
  5. Minimum 5 years of modularization design project support during FEL stages.
  6. Ability to work in shifts (PM - PM IST) and willingness to relocate to Bengaluru.
  7. Must have both design and construction experience in modularization design and have performed multiple modularization feasibility studies.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  1. Execution experience in modularization design and construction for small-scale brownfield and large/mega greenfield industrial projects.
  2. Ability to execute support throughout the FEL and EPC project phases.
  3. Excellent communication and influencing skills to interface with internal and external senior leadership.
  4. Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  5. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  6. Ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management/leadership.
  7. Ability and willingness to take extended international business trips.
  8. Owner/operator company experience is highly preferred.
