About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team at Arting Digital Private Limited. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our Banking clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems using Java and Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Ensure the integration of mobile banking apps on platforms like Backbase.
  • Provide input into the value proposition, solutioning, technical architecture, and estimations for mobile banking projects and opportunities.
  • Adopt and evolve agile approaches, lightweight architectures, and DevOps practices.
  • Create and extend the REST API integration into a modular backend and ensure re-usability of code.

Requirements:

  • Backend development experience with Kotlin and Java8 and the Spring framework: Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot and Cloud is a plus.
  • Able to design new APIs based on Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Experience with microservices architectures using Kafka, routing & conversion engines such as Apache Camel and design patterns (e.g. EIP) is a plus.
  • Experience with API Management platforms such as Mulesoft, apigee, Azure API Management, IBM API Connect, Tyk or Kong is a plus.
  • Experience with persistence frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA and RDBS is a plus.
  • Experience with Unit Testing tools such as JUnit and Mockito is a plus.
  • Experience with IAMs (e.g. Keycloak, WebIAM), Identity federation (e.g. SAML), standard security principles and open standards such as OAuth2 & OpenID is a plus.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift as well as CI/CD pipelines with dependency management using Maven/Gradle is a plus.
  • Experience in agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience in the banking industry is a plus.
  • Flexibility about work location and willingness to travel abroad for a 3-4 days every 2-3 months.
  • Fluent in English.

  • Able to present solution approach and own solutions in a clear and receiver-adapted manner.
