About this role

  • A Data Engineer with expertise in Dynamo DB will design, develop and implement scalable data engineering solutions on the AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our team and take ownership of designing, developing and implementing end-to-end data engineering solutions from ground up on the AWS platform using services such as Glue, EMR, Lambda, and more.

  • Data Engineering Solutions: Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data engineering solutions from scratch on the AWS platform.
  • DynamoDB Expertise: Design and implement scalable DynamoDB databases, optimizing performance and ensuring data consistency, throughput, and storage efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data requirements and understand business objectives.
  • Data Modeling and Architecture: Architect and implement data models and schemas that align with best practices and optimize query performance.
  • ETL Data Pipelines: Build robust and scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into target systems.
  • Third-Party API Integration: Integrate third-party APIs to retrieve and ingest data from external systems, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive data throughout the pipeline.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in Dynamo DB.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including Glue, EMR, Lambda.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, Python, SQL, PartiQL, and integrating third-party APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
