Role Overview:

The Principal role at Artha Group is dynamic and influential, serving as a critical bridge to partnership. This individual will manage a robust portfolio of 15-20 companies, providing strategic direction and operational guidance to foster growth and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management:
    • Actively oversee and manage a portfolio of 15-20 companies, ensuring they achieve their growth and operational targets.
    • Regularly track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for portfolio companies, making data-driven decisions to support their growth.
    • Manage and lead follow-on funding rounds, preparing portfolio companies for subsequent capital raises.
    • Oversight of shareholder agreements, term sheets, and other legal documents ensures thorough understanding of dilution and valuation adjustments.
  • Investment Execution:
    • IDentify and evaluate 8-12 new investment opportunities annually, focusing on sectors such as B2B SaaS, FinTech, and renewable energy.
    • Conduct in-depth market research and financial analysis to assess the viability of potential investments.
    • Structure and negotiate deals, aligning them with the fund's strategic objectives and financial criteria.
  • Fundraising and Investor Relations:
    • Engage with limited partners, preparing detailed reports and building solid relationships to secure future funding.
    • Participate actively in fundraising efforts, developing new pipelines for limited partners, and maintaining strong investor relationships.

Salary and Benefits:

  • The estimated salary for this position is ₹35 lakhs per annum.
  • Carried interest: 5% of the fund's carry (approximately ~1% direct carried interest).
  • Performance bonus: Annual performance bonus based on actual performance.
  • ESOP: Participation in the ESOP pool after 12 months in the role.
  • Additional incentives: Fundraising incentives and other bonuses based on individual and fund performance.
