Mizzen Digital is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-I) to join our dynamic engineering team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will play a key role in building robust test strategies, frameworks, and tools to ensure the highest quality of our software products.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and tools for both functional and non-functional testing (performance, load, security, etc.).
  • Ensure the quality of software through a combination of manual and automated testing, identifying potential areas of improvement and reducing the risk of defects in production.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for test scripts, frameworks, and tooling, utilizing modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, development, and operations) to define testing strategies, create detailed test plans, and execute test cases.
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure frequent and reliable testing in the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level SDETs. Help build a culture of quality within the engineering team.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation strategies.
  • Lead performance testing efforts to evaluate system scalability, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
  • Work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Maintain comprehensive and clear test documentation, including test cases, test data, and reports, ensuring traceability and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#). Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Extensive experience designing and building automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Appium, or similar.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or others.
  • Strong working knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Expertise in test strategy development, test planning, and execution. Experience with test case design and ensuring high test coverage.
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work with complex systems and identify root causes of issues.
