Financial Leadership

">
  • ">
  • Lead the finance department in developing and implementing effective financial strategies and policies.">
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, and cash management.">
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth and optimize performance.">
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.">
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads and consultants.">

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to inform strategic decision-making.">
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close reporting processes in accordance with Canadian GAAP.">
  • Review and update internal control procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.">
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports.">
  • Provide regular financial updates and insights to senior leadership and the board of directors.">
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and timeliness.">
  • Manage and develop junior members of the finance team, ensuring their skills and knowledge are up-to-date.">
  • Lead the annual budget forecast and perform periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to identify key budget drivers.">

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/CA certification is required.">

    • Minimum of 8-10 years in a senior finance role, preferably with experience in the North American time zone.">
    • Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.">
    • Strong knowledge of local and international financial regulations.">
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.">
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.">
    • Proficiency in finance software like Quickbooks Online, Rippling (preferred), and advanced Excel skills.">
    • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working on multiple priorities at a time.">
    • Availability to work primarily in IST hours with flexibility for early MST hours overlap.">
