Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MEPF design leader to spearhead the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget. They will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with national and international codes and standards, and mentoring junior team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Detailed Design and Engineering:
    • Develop preliminary DBR, calculations, and schematics, including budgetary estimates.
    • Prepare statutory approvals related design documentation/drawings in compliance with local regulations.
    • Create detailed design brief reports, standard details, new product introductions, market studies, tender documents, BOQs, and lists of approved makes.
  • Project Execution:
    • Deliver MEPF design phases on time and within budget.
    • Resolve design-related issues effectively during project execution.
    • Evaluate vendors and products to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Manage all stages of MEPF design from conceptualization to final implementation.
    • Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Ensure project timelines, budgets, and milestones are met without compromising on quality.
  • Construction Documents:
    • Release accurate good-for-construction drawings and documents.
    • Update the WPS tracker and review all design batches and closures.
    • Provide real-time insights into project status, milestones, and deadlines.
    • Close RFI's within 2 days and update the project tracker weekly.
  • Compliance and Safety Documentation:
    • Generate reports confirming adherence to codes, standards, and safety regulations.
    • Conduct comprehensive safety audits and inspections.
  • Training and Team Development:
    • Mentor juniors with guidelines and accuracy.
    • Document professional development plans and training records for team members.
    • Prepare performance review reports and feedback documentation.
    • Ensure adherence to design standards, best practices, and technological advancements.
    • Maintain responsibility for the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of all MEPF designs.
  • Project Oversight and Coordination:
    • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
    • Regularly audit and inspect MEPF systems to ensure they meet organizational and regulatory standards.
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure safety through MEPF design.
