About PhonePe and the Role:
PhonePe is India's leading digital payments company with 50 crore registered users and 3.7 crore merchants covering over 99% of the postal codes across India.
The company has expanded into financial services, insurance, mutual funds, stock broking, and lending, as well as adjacent tech-enabled businesses such as Pincode for hyperlocal shopping and Indus App Store, the first localized App Store in India.
As a professional at PhonePe, you will be part of a dynamic team that empowers people and trusts them to do the right thing. You will own your work from start to finish, right from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
The Ad Sales team at PhonePe enables brands to leverage the company's strength of user reach, scale, and engagement to drive their brand marketing and performance marketing objectives.
You will be responsible for building and scaling agency business from the ground up, gaining larger spends within marketing budgets of large marketing agencies in India.
This includes end-to-end ownership of agencies across revenue, relationships, commercials, and team. You will establish strong relationships with leadership stakeholders across digital heads, account heads, and regional heads of agencies.
You will also drive awareness for PhonePe Ads offerings within agencies through roadshows, workshops, events, and account in-depth discussions.
Your primary goal will be to deliver on revenue targets by establishing business development rigors, agency performance governance, and feedback loops for product outcomes delivered and scope of further business.
You will handle outbound sales according to business needs to penetrate new accounts and new business lines deeper.
You will collaborate with agencies to ensure inflow of campaign briefs from key accounts and various industries to gain larger spend share from the agency.
You will create JBP structures for large agencies and identify and accelerate business for mid and small agencies.
You will coach and mentor the team, tracking their success on agency performance parameters.
You will work with internal stakeholders across campaign management to improve campaign management efficiencies for agency business.
Finally, you will ideate on creative ideas, product ideas, new opportunities, and be the voice of external business landscape internally.
