As a Senior Backend Engineer at Tide, you will be part of a dynamic team that designs and develops cutting-edge technology solutions. Our stack includes Python, AWS, Postgres, Google BigQuery, Terraform, and Sentry.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, owning, and maintaining our services. You will work closely with our product team to select technology partners and collaborate with backend engineers across multiple agile teams.

  • Define and maintain our services, ensuring they align with our target architecture.
  • Work with the product team to select technology partners and integrate with our services.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to divide your time between design, implementation, and mentoring.
  • Align our team's vision and roadmap with the target architecture within our domain.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience as a Python Developer.
  • Basic understanding of software engineering fundamentals (SOLID, ACID, Testing).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, and Flask.
  • Extensive experience integrating with or creating REST APIs.
