Accounts Payable Specialist Role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage accounts payable for a portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately and in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, updates, and issue resolution processes efficiently.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Support month-end close, accruals, and reporting activities to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and internal teams for invoice coding and approvals.
  • Prepare payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers securely.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP.
  • Track payment schedules and monitor cash flow proactively.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives in accounts payable to enhance efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with U.S.-based accounting exposure.
  • Experience in the real estate sector is a significant plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; Yardi experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
