Deltek is a leading provider of enterprise software and services for project-based businesses. We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Delivery Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Cloud Delivery Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, automation, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure and other cloud providers.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality ERP solutions.
  • Provision new SaaS customers and configure application and report servers for Deltek Products.
  • Deliver server maintenance for Deltek's Cloud Professional Service Products, configuration changes, and security configurations.
  • Take ownership of product technical knowledge and create team processes and training materials.
  • Coordinate with a globally distributed team to drive application delivery projects to success.
  • Provision of L3/L4 support to troubleshoot complex problems and resolve operational issues.
  • Ownership of vulnerability management and security audit requests.
  • Show accountability in creating process improvement initiatives.
  • Take responsibility for management of internal team projects to completion.
  • Perform responsibilities of a Cloud Release Engineer to assist in application updates and upgrades as needed.
  • Document system architectures, systems configurations, technical operational processes, and playbooks.
  • Create and maintain tools and automation.
  • Adhere to a high standard in security protocol and procedures.
Requirements
  • 5 years' experience in using various programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python or similar well-known languages.
  • 3 years' experience in using MSSQL, Oracle, or similar database systems.
  • Experience in creating simple to complex queries, creating SQL scripts, and creating stored procedures is required for Vision and VantagePoint Products.
  • Experience in running scripts and in back-up and restore is required for Maconomy Products.
  • 3 years' experience in supporting any of the following fields: Enterprise customer-facing application, computing platforms and systems; or Operation, Automation, DevOps, Release Engineer, Service Reliability Engineer or similar field.
  • L3 and L4 Application troubleshooting experience with the ability to identify and document root cause of application issues.
  • Experience in using public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or other similar cloud providers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in DevOps environment or knowledge in using DevOps tools or systems is an advantage.
  • Experience using automated deployment technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring, management tools, ticketing tools, log management system.
  • Diverse range of technical and operational interests and capabilities, including Microsoft Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), MySQL, SQL Server, SQL Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), virtualization, monitoring, automation technologies.

  • Ability to work in high-pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long-term requirements.
  • Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems.
  • Ability to capture process and create documentation.
  • Must be detail-oriented, task-driven, and have excellent communication skills. Customer service focus is key.
