About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our operations and analytics teams to understand data landscaping requirements, design systems, processes, and teams, while maintaining scalability, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • 5-8 years of experience in back-end applications with 2+ years in Big Data technologies like Hadoop and its ecosystem
  • End-to-end solution design expertise including capacity planning, requirement gathering, effort estimations, and optimizing solution stacks for maximum ROI
  • In-depth understanding of Map Reduce and hands-on experience with Hive/Pig/Flume/Map-REDUCE/Sqoop
  • Strong programming background in Java or Python
  • Data infrastructure tools landscape knowledge, including cloud service providers, software, system monitoring tools, and development environments
  • Ability to program and guide team members on technical aspects, as well as craft documents explaining complex ideas simply
  • Bonus points for knowledge of R or any other statistical programming language
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field
