About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Service Delivery Team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for remotely managing, securing, and supporting Cloud & IT infrastructure for our customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Linux Administration: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) both on-premises and in the cloud. Perform system updates, patches, and regular maintenance for optimal performance and security.
  • AWS Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.). Optimize cloud costs, monitor performance, and ensure high availability of AWS resources.
  • Appliance Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based physical and virtual appliances. Collaborate with network teams to ensure smooth connectivity and security across the network infrastructure.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to optimize and streamline operations. This includes developing scripts, templates, and tools to automate manual processes and ensure consistency.
  • Application Management: Manage the deployment and maintenance of applications on Linux servers. Monitor application performance, optimize resource utilization, and troubleshoot issues related to the application.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in case of disaster or system failure.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization to ensure that the IT environment meets their needs. This may involve working with customer teams to understand their requirements, providing recommendations on Linux and open-source solutions, and ensuring that any changes to the IT infrastructure environment are communicated effectively.
About You

This is a customer-facing role, and we're looking for an excellent communicator with a positive outlook and a get-the-job-done attitude. Ideally, you should have 3-5 years of relevant experience in large-scale deployment of Linux and open-source infrastructure, with a minimum of 8 years of industry experience. You should be ready to work in customer time zones and during off-business hours to carry out changes.

Qualifications & Work Experience:
  • BE/IT/Computer Science degree
  • Linux certification, AWS, ITIL certification
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • Experience in managing large-scale environments running on server virtualization
  • Experience in managing Linux Server, KVM/VMware, open source, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of LDAP, DNS/DHCP/NTP/SFTP, Web server, database server, etc.
  • Experience in middleware, Tomcat, etc.
  • Solid understanding of standard client-server, networking, and internet concepts
  • Proven experience in virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
  • Working experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong scripting knowledge for systems automation (shell/python/perl, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in server rack/blade servers, HCI (Cisco UCS, VxRail, Nutanix, etc.)
  • Experience working with some or all technologies below: RedHat/SuSE/KVM/VMware/OpenStack/CloudStack/Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Bash/perl/python scripts/Core Infrastructure services and functions (LDAP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PKI, LDAP, etc.) Log management solutions such as LogRhythm/Azure/AWS/GCP
