MHM Senior Engineer Job Description

The MHM Lead Engineer will be part of a core engineering team responsible for project engineering, configurations, commissioning and problem-solving of systems hardware and software to protect and supervise various machine types in the oil and gas, power generation, petrochemicals, pulp and paper and other process industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for subject area design activities.
  • Manage, supervise and report project budget, schedule and scope.
  • Supervise a team size of 3 resources.
  • Deliver project engineering work as per project requirements with outstanding quality.
  • Participate in staging, pre FAT, FAT and i-FAT activities.
  • Install, commission and troubleshoot Emerson's Reliability Solution systems and products.
  • Configure software according to project requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external collaborators.
  • Procure projects through interco buyouts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to derive solutions for projects and assignments.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly reviews with key stakeholders and internal partners for opportunities for improvements.
  • Participate in group initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6+ years of proven experience in manufacturing environments or systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (OPC/Modbus) and field instrumentation.
  • Understanding of networking protocols.
  • Electronics and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Available for domestic and international travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to lead change and alignment on new concepts and approaches through persistence, self-motivation, follow-through and dedication.
  • Strong teammate who builds and maintains positive team member relations.
  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree experience or equivalent experience in Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering.
  • CAT-I and above vibration certification advantageous.
  • Knowledge on Lean Techniques, ISO 9002 Quality System and Inventory Management an added advantage.
  • Prior experience on Emerson or Baker Hughes (Bently Nevada) or Shinkawa or Meggitt Prediction and Protection systems beneficial.
